1. Compressed air

It can maintain a certain degree of roundness in the pipe, and its pressure is generally taken as 0.02-0.05MPa.

2. Temperature

Mainly affecting the plasticization aspect, too low or too high is not good. In this regard, it will also be related to the structure of the extruder, screw speed, and other aspects.

3. Screw speed

It will affect the output and quality, which is related to the size of the extruder, as well as the appearance and performance of the product. Therefore, it needs to be comprehensively considered.

4. Traction speed

It will affect the wall thickness of the PE pipe, but it needs to be coordinated with the extrusion speed. Generally speaking, the traction speed is 1% -10% faster than the extrusion speed.

5. Selection of raw materials

There are many specifications, grades, and types of raw materials used for PE pipes, so it is necessary to choose the appropriate one based on the characteristics of the raw materials.

6. Cooling

If cooling does not achieve the desired effect, it will cause the extruded material to adhere and fail to form. Therefore, the general cooling water temperature should be around 15 degrees, and a combination of air cooling and water cooling should be used as much as possible to achieve the desired effect.

The main factors affecting the quality of PE pipes are compressed air, temperature, screw speed, traction speed, etc. In order to achieve good product quality, we must first choose the right raw materials, and the foundation determines the results.
